Investec website praised in UK
When the financial world melts down around you, you are grateful for small mercies. At least, that’s how it is with me and, I guess, that is the case at Investec Asset Management (IAM) today.
They’ve made it onto the shortlist of an annual award which is unlikely to bring the champagne bottles out at IAM’s head office in London – in normal markets. Today it might well.
IAM recently launched a revamped website and yesterday it was announced here that IAM was in line to win two awards at the Online Finance Awards 2008 in London on 19 November. The annual awards celebrate excellence in financial services websites.
IAM is on a shortlist (with three other companies) for the prize “Most successful online product launch” and on the shortlist (with four others) for the prize “Best online creative” (in other words, most creative financial website).
In my books, not a small achievement. But, if investment return on $60 billion is the business you are in, a relative non-event.
