InBev fails to sell German business

Published by at 6:03 pm under Companies,Top Stories

Belgium beer brewer InBev’s attempt to sell its German breweries, operations and rights to licenses to the German brewer Radeberger for over €1 billion failed after a long period of negotiation.

Radeberger is a subsidiary of Dr. Oetker, a giant food manufacturer in Germany. According to a Reuters report in today’s Financial Times Deutschland (FTD), Dr. Oetker and Inbev could not agree on a price.

Neither party wanted to comment. So, it’s not known whether InBev will now try to find another buyer, or take its German business from the market.
