Tencent and Naspers get major write-up
The Chinese internet concern Tencent, in which Naspers holds roughly a one-third stake, got a huge positive write-up in Financial Times Deutschland (FTD) this morning.

Under the headline “China’s giant wants to conquer the West” the internet company is compared to Facebook and the managing director Ma Huateng says “Tencent wants to expand into developed markets”.
The full page article calls Naspers the main investor behind the company, which “has more users than Facebook and is more profitable than Facebook”. The article on page 23 is announced on the front page right at the top with the line: “Attack of the dragon – Chinese Facebook clone Tencent wants to conquer the West.”
